I reset my timer when I turned it down to 350°, but I'm wondering if that initial 15 minutes is supposed to be part of the 50 minutes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24409356.post-58939634547345135212023-11-23T17:54:12.983-05:002023-11-23T17:54:12.983-05:00I’ve been making this recipe for years and it’s al...I’ve been making this recipe for years and it’s always a hit - sorry it took me so long to comment but thank you so much for this!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24409356.post-2679274753340532172023-11-22T15:27:12.679-05:002023-11-22T15:27:12.679-05:00My favorite recipe. The only difference I've made is to add in a few different spices from the original. It ALWAYS comes out perfect! Creamy, tasty, easy to cut. Perfect in every way a pumpkin pie should be. I may try switching out some of the white sugar for brown sugar next time, but because of the molasses I don't think I need to.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24409356.post-46582005143934419502023-10-03T17:00:05.490-04:002023-10-03T17:00:05.490-04:00I know this is an old blog post, but I simply must...I know this is an old blog post, but I simply must comment. Was making a squash "pumpkin" pie, and could not find the recipe I had cut from the back of the One-Pie can years ago. I was panicking -- what to do??? Thank goodness for Goodgle! and your blog. I agree, the best pie is made from fresh squash, but lacking that (or the time to prepare it), canned squash or pumpkin is good. And it simply MUST be the One-Pie brand!Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580706727966740042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24409356.post-70793725920467079502023-03-09T11:47:27.218-05:002023-03-09T11:47:27.218-05:00Looks yummyLooks yummyEmmahttp://naturaldiureticfordogs.blogspot.com/2015/08/natural-diuretic-for-dogs-with.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24409356.post-24621014124135977432022-10-23T12:10:53.128-04:002022-10-23T12:10:53.128-04:00Love that Roaches album. I do use pumpkin puree from my homegrown pumpkins. I cut them in half, scoop out the seeds, then roast cut side down at 350 degrees till easily pierced with a fork. Once cooled, I scoop out the "meat", mash it, then let it drain in a colander for several hours. I puree it in my food processor and freeze in quarts, enough for two pies. Prepping the pumpkin puree is a bit of work, but I enjoy that "I did it myself" feeling.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05523909229638414984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24409356.post-63179080310549295842020-11-30T23:07:35.147-05:002020-11-30T23:07:35.147-05:00I am still enjoying this site several years after ...I am still enjoying this site several years after I found it!<br />JamesAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16975609335001850209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24409356.post-88138325868338876292020-05-09T09:11:44.805-04:002020-05-09T09:11:44.805-04:00I used to own this exact cookbook many years ago a...I used to own this exact cookbook many years ago and used to regularly bake this lovely pie.
